Game Interface

After signing your kingdom up, you will be taken to a confusing interface that looks something like this.

First lets begin with the most commonly used buttons on the interface.

Starting from the top left and working left-to-right, the buttons are in this order:

Contents

Infrastructure

Infrastructure is the area in the game where all the construction on your planets takes place. Here you can build Hydro Farms, Bio Domes, Gas Plants, and Derricks which are all used to aid the productivity of harvesting resources from your planet.

Within this page, you can also commission military units, see what is currently being commissioned, and see what buildings are currently being built.

See This Picture

Legend: A: Current project's longest build times are listed under the clock symbol on the left of the page. There can be more than one project running on a single type of building, assuming you have Large Industrial Cranes built, however, it lists only the longest of them.

B: Food Accounts are listed under the apple looking symbol. This is where all of the rates of adding and subtracting of food per tick (every 5 minutes) are listed.

C: Worker Accounts are listed under the stick person symbol. This is where all of the rates of adding and subtracting of workers per tick are listed.

D: Energy Accounts are listed under the lightning bolt symbol. This is where all of the rates of adding and subtracting of energy per tick are listed.

E. Mineral Gained per tick are listed under the tilted equal sign symbol. This is the total number of minerals your derricks pull in per tick. You can adjust what percentage of this total is produced for each of the 8 minerals: Fe, Si, Ni, He, O, Mg, S, and H.

F. The Cherry with a bent stem looking symbol is the column that lists the total number of built buildings of each type you have built.

G. This is the net gain of all the columns. If any of the Food, Worker, or Energy Accounts is negative down here, then you are LOSING these resources per tick. The total of mineral gain per tick is found here, as is the total buildings built on this planet.

H. The "buildings" button is the button used to update or return to the screen shown in this picture. The "Units" button is the button used to commission military units, both naval and army.

I. The "Constructions" button is the button used to go to the page that controls all of the currently building projects you started in the "buildings" button in H. The "Commissions" button is the button used to get to the page that controls all of the currently building projects you started in the "units" button in H. All of these projects may be canceled in this button. They list the time left on building each individual project, number of buildings being built and how many you have queued as well.

J. Any of the names listed in this area are clickable, and this brings you to the Building Info page.

Military Overview

In this area of the game you are allowed to manage your fleets and armies.

The Military button will glow red if there is any foreign military present at any of your planets, or if there is any navy with the course towards your planet(s).

Status

Here you can view the overall progress of your kingdom and manage diplomatic propositions. If you are on a team, you may also access your team's forums from here.

When this image glows green, it means there is an unread message in your kingdom forum. If you click the image while it is glowing green, it will take you directly to your kingdom forum.

Research and Developement

The R&D section is very important, being the part of the game that allows you to upgrage your buildings and research the ability to construct new military units. This area works much like the infrastructure feature.

Mail

Pretty self explanatory, this is where you receive in-game mail.

The mail button will glow green if you have received an in-game mail. It will return to normal when you have read the mail. Unread mails will have the timestamp bolded so it's easy to understand which mail you haven't read.

News

Including high scores (top ten). As well as the top ten highscores it also exists a score system that shows the 10 closest players in score. The news page also includes recent players that has logged on, random news on other planet's progress. The headlines section allows you to track the progress of others.

Options

In the options screen are you allowed to do multiple things such as abandon your player and kingdom and start over, select another round that is currently active, change player options and user preferences.

If you're in a team you can also set global permissions so your fellow team members can use your military (build and control)and build and research on your planets.

Warning: When you abandon a player you may not use that same player or kingdom name. You can also change settings such as the style, this guide however does not cover the interface for the Holo-tech style.

Discussions

This link takes you directly to the Imperial Kingdoms forums.

Help

This button gives you an overview of the current round and all the settings for the current round.

Planet Info window

There are five different windows in the game interface.

Planet Info is the window placed on the top-left side of the screen. When you log in the window will show Kingdom Info which is a report of all your resources in your kingdom. It shows your kingdom avatar (If you doesn't have one it will show the standard avatar in IK. On the right side of the avatar is your kingdom name and number (Example: The Wild Geese (#1583) ).

Below the kingdom avatar is the report of total food, workers, energy, minerals, planets and members in your kingdom.

Main window

This is the most important window in the game. This is where you get all your information about your kingdom.
